The
department of Automobile Engineering was started in the year 1983. It
offers 4 years (8 Semesters) B.E. course and has an intake of 50 students.The department has qualified and experienced faculty who have research
experience in various disciplines of automobile engineering. The Department has a collegiate chapter of Society Of Automotive Engineers (SAE) that organizes many co-curricular activities.
Current curriculum upgrades syllabus to cope up with the needs of the modern world.
Workshop and service station are facilitated with modern equipments.
Excellent computer laboratory and library facilities are available to the students.
Low student : faculty ratio offers students ready access to their professors
Automobile Engineering Association (A.E.A) club functions to develop
student's skills and overall personality.
Alumni chapter of Department, are spread in different parts of India, as well as worldwide.
Students are being exposed to new technology through industry. FACILITIES IN THE DEPARTMENT: The department is equipped with spacious and well ventilated classrooms with projector to aid the faculties with their presentations and enhance teaching. The department has a computer center with individual desktops for each faculty and internet connection. Also the department is equipped with seminar hall for conducting seminars for students. The department is well equipped and uses latest techniques in testing and maintenance of the vehicles. The department undertakes Vehicle/ Engine performance tests, Emission tests, Fuel tests, Overhauling and Reconditioning of engines. CONSULTANCY AND OTHER SERVICES OFFERED IN THE DEPARTMENT : The department is equipped with latest state of art service station. The service station caters to the needs of the college as well as the public in servicing the all types of automotive vehicles. .
