The department of Instrumentation Technology was started in the year 1984.The department has qualified and highly motivated faculty and well established laboratories. It offers 4 years (8 semesters) B.E. course and has an intake of 50 students. The college has invested more than Rs.75.00 Lakhs for establishing the state-of-the art laboratories.  The department has received DCA grants of more than 10.00 Lakhs.  A departmental library with more than 750 volumes is catering the needs of the students. The results of the department is extremely good and has won a gold medal hatrick in the University examinations.  Many projects sponsored by KSCST are taken up every year. The department has organized many AICTE and TEQIP programmes for the faculty and students periodically.

Lab Facilities

The department has well established laboratories with the latest technologies. The various laboratories of the department are:

Microprocessor Laboratory
This laboratory is used to impart training in the development of Microprocessor based systems and interfacing.

PCB Laboratory
This laboratory is used to teach the design and fabrication of PCB's and has equipments like: Photo Dip Coater, UV Exposure Unit, Camera, Etching Machine, Tin Coating Machine, and Oven.

Instrumentation and Control Laboratory
This laboratory is used to train the students in transducers and their applications.

Process Instrumentation Laboratory
This laboratory is used for imparting training in measuring different process parameters.

In addition to the above, the department has Analog and Digital Electronics Laboratories with modern training kits and equipments.
