Training and Placement office, established in the early 1990s, operates from a dedicated office on campus. The Training and Placement office houses a team of experienced members that include:

To enhance placement opportunities, a dedicated placement office has also been set up in Bangalore.The office is well-equipped with an exclusive boardroom and five panel rooms, providing all necessary facilities to conduct campus recruitment programs.

Placement Process

The Training and Placement (TAP) Cell at Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan, follows a systematic process to facilitate student training, industry engagement, campus recruitment, and placement outcome monitoring.

• Stage 1: Student Registration and Database Preparation
  Register students and maintain an updated database containing academic details, technical skills, career interests, and placement status.


• Stage 2: Skill Assessment and Training
  Assess students' competencies and conduct structured training in aptitude, logical reasoning, communication and soft skills, technical skills, resume preparation, group discussions, mock interviews, and company-specific placement preparation.


• Stage 3: Industry Outreach and Opportunity Identification
  Engage with recruiting organisations, alumni, and industry professionals to identify suitable placement and internship opportunities.


• Stage 4: Recruitment Notification and Eligibility Verification
  Communicate recruitment notifications, job profiles, eligibility criteria, compensation details, and registration deadlines through official communication channels. Verify student eligibility and coordinate candidate registration.


• Stage 5: Campus Recruitment and Selection
  Coordinate recruitment drives comprising pre-placement talks, aptitude tests, technical assessments, group discussions, technical interviews, and HR interviews, as prescribed by the recruiting company.


• Stage 6: Selection Follow-up and Offer Tracking
  Coordinate with companies and placement coordinators to monitor selection progress, communicate results, and maintain records of offers received and accepted.

Training and Skill Development Initiatives

To prepare students for recruitment, a series of structured training programs are implemented:

• An introductory session on career growth, planning, and available opportunities is conducted to the first-year students.
• Recognizing the importance of communication skills, a mandatory credit course on Communication and Soft Skills has been introduced in the first year to enhance students' communication abilities and interpersonal skills.
• A two-week intensive aptitude and soft skills training is organized after the sixth-semester exams, conducted by expert trainers.
• Expert lectures highlighting the importance of GATE and other competitive exams to encourage students to explore further studies.

MCE HR Synergy

In an effort to strengthen industry–academia collaboration and gain valuable insights into contemporary human resource practices, the institution organized “MCE HR Synergy” under the leadership of the Dean of Corporate Affairs, in association with the Training and Placement Cell. The event served as a strategic platform for interaction between academia and industry, bringing together senior HR professionals to share perspectives on talent development, employability, and evolving industry expectations. Through meaningful dialogue and networking, the initiative aimed to enhance institutional engagement with industry and align academic outcomes with professional requirements.
