ELECTIVE SYSTEM 

Elective system allows a student to choose a particular course from a given set of courses. Generally, for each elective course, a student has to select a course from given 3 or 4 choices. All engineering programs at MCE have bunch of electives groups in various verticals. Depending upon the interest of a student, he/she choose the course in a particular semester. Normally, students choose their courses from specific vertical from second year onwards.

CHOICE BASED CREDIT SYSTEM 

Open elective scheme is introduced at MCE in all the program of engineering and basic sciences curricula. This made the structure as partially choice based credit system, where student are allowed to choose their course of interest from various field of engineering and technology. An immense competition is observed from the student community for choosing their course of interest. The system made the students for interdisciplinary learning in large scale at MCE. More number of interdisciplinary minor and major projects are being carried out by the students of MCE owing to introduction of CBCS.
