13. 2025-2026

We are proud to share that ‘Green Torque MCE’ team has participated in SAE India REEV (Range Extended Electric Vehicle) Competition 2026 held at GITAM University, Bangalore on 23rd and 24th January 2026.

This national-level competition provided an excellent platform to showcase innovation, teamwork, and hands-on learning in electric vehicle technology alongside talented teams from across the country.

Our team of 15 dedicated students, guided by the Faculty Coordinator Dr. Shashank Lingappa M, worked tirelessly to bring the vehicle to life. After successfully clearing the Static Evaluation, the team advanced to the Dynamic Tests, confidently completing both the Braking Test and the Acceleration Test.

On 24th January 2026, the team participated in the Endurance Test, the most crucial phase of the competition. The vehicle successfully completed multiple laps, demonstrating reliability, battery efficiency, and mechanical strength under continuous operation. The team secured an impressive 4th place overall.

During the technical presentation session, Team Captain Nithin D C and Vice-Captain Preksha M R presented the vehicle’s design concept, technical specifications, safety measures, challenges faced, and solutions implemented — reflecting months of dedication and teamwork.

SAE India REEV 2026 was truly an unforgettable experience for our Green Torque MCE team, strengthening technical knowledge, practical skills, and collaboration. It stands as a proud milestone for the institution and the entire team.
