The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) at Malnad College of Engineering (MCE), Hassan, organized a significant academic and technical event—the IEEE-PELS Alumni Talk & Tech Expo 2025—on 2nd December 2025 at the Department Seminar Hall. This event was planned as part of the department’s ongoing efforts to promote technical leadership, innovation, and interaction between present students and distinguished alumni who have made substantial contributions to engineering, research, and industrial development. 

 A talk on “Effective sales and marketing strategies for start-ups” was held on 17th December 6:30 PM, in Collaboration with MERISE foundation and Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering

The IEEE Membership Drive & Technical Talk 2025 was organized on 22nd May 2025 by the IEEE MCE Student Branch in collaboration with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan. The event aimed to educate and encourage students to become part of the global IEEE community, while also offering them an opportunity to engage with real-world industrial knowledge. 

This event marked not only an institutional achievement but also a collective step forward for the Department of EEE toward creating a research-oriented ecosystem. Through the guidance of eminent faculty members and the enthusiasm of students, the IEEE PELS MCE Student Branch Chapter aspires to become a hub of excellence that promotes the spirit of engineering, ethics, and innovation in the field of power electronics. 

It gave exposure to EEE career paths. The workshop coverd target industries relevant for EEE. It also covered those industries what kind of experienced roles exist, the products and projects. The workshop also introduce to AI based career planning and practice service - Career Plan. 

This event was conducted by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in association with ME-RIISE FOUNDATION. It is exclusively intended for students of our institution to provide them with practical exposure to PCB design using industry-standard tools, and to encourage innovation through a focused hackathon. 

Celebration of National Technology Day was held by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, on 15th May 2025, With the presence of our beloved management members, our chairman R.T. Deyavegowda , Secretary  C.R. Jagadeesh and Treasurer H.D. Parswanath and our HOD Dr S. Rajanna, CEO of MERISE foundation and Dean Co-corporate affairs Dr. A. Geetha Kiran

Energy Conservation Day was Celebrated in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering on 13th to 16th December 2024. On account of the event, Four events: Drawing, Prototype presentation, Logo design, Quiz competitions were organized. A formal function was held in the EEE Seminar Hall, MCE. The program was preceded by Dr. Ranjanna S, HoD, Dept. of E&E. Dr. Geetha Kiran, CEO, ME-RIISE was present. The chief guest of the program was Mr. Arjun G M, Executive Engineer, CESC, Hassan. 

EEE Magazine Volume 1 - 2024-25

We are proud to share that seven patents have been successfully filed through the collaborative efforts of 28 talented students at Malnad College of Engineering, under the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

This achievement was made possible under the guidance of Dr. Gowri Shankar M (Project Coordinator) and Dr. Rajanna S (HoD, Electrical and Electronics Engineering). A heartfelt thank you to both for their invaluable support and leadership.

Dear Students.

We are celebrating Energy Conservation Day on 14th December. On occasion of that, our department is organizing a design thinking prototype developing competition for energy conservation. this competition is open only for 3rd and 5th Semester students of EEE branch.

Interested students can make a group (4 students maximum in a group) and propose an Idea along with prototype model. The models along with an A3 size poster (explaning the model through flow chart/painting/written explanation etc.) is to be presented on 12th December infront of jury members for evaluation. The theme of competition is restricted to Energy Conservation only.

A google form will be floated on 7th December for registration.
