- Accredited by NBA thrice during 2004, 2008 and 2017 (OBE format under tier-I category).
- Department is a VTU recognised Research Centre where 7 candidates are pursuing Ph.D and one candidate is pursuing M.Sc (Engg) by Research.
- Obtained VTU-RGS 2021 Research Grant of 5.00 Lakhs.
- AICTE-MODROBS for modernization of Embedded Systems Laboratory has been sanctioned with an amount of 6.00 Lakhs.
- Four of our faculty got Ing.Paed.IGIP title from International Society for Engineering Pedagogy.
- The results of the department are extremely good and have won hatrick gold medal in the University of Mysore examinations.
- ·Alumni of 1999 batch have established a Lab, "Project & Innovation Lab" in the department. It is open to students and faculty round the clock.
- Many projects sponsored by KSCST are taken up every year.
- The department has organized many AICTE and TEQIP programmes for the faculty and students periodically.
